A male Klipspringer (Oreotragus oreotragus) on lookout in his home range. Klipspringers mate for life; inhabiting extremely arid regions such as the Northern Cape. They are not dependant on water, obtaining their moisture needs from succulent plants. Their name literally translates from the Afrikaans as "rock-jumper", and they walk on thier tiptoes, which are equiped with high friction pads for improved grip and stability in their rocky habitat.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox
