Brown Pelicans (pelecanus occidentalis) are much smaller than American White Pelican, and are amongst the smallest of pelicans species worldwide. They also have a different feeding behaviour to American White Pelicans, in that they crash dive for their fish prey. The force of impact is somewhat cushioned by the prescence of air sacks under the pelican's skin.Add to Cart Add to Lightbox
